An introduction to Yogi Candle Studio

Updated: May 24, 2020

Hello there!

Welcome to Yogi Candle Studio. I thought I would create my first blog post to tell you all a bit more about me and my little business. I have always been creative and crafty ever since I was a little girl. I have always had a huge love for candles, but I had never tried to make them until now, despite being curious about it for a while. I took up yoga at the start of 2020 as a new year’s resolution and began to make my own candles to use for my practice. After a lot of trial and error testing new combinations of fragrances, I decided that it was something I really enjoyed doing.

Yogi Candle Studio was then born in April 2020, and I work from home in my kitchen in Staffordshire, England, alongside my adorable little pug Bertie who loves to be involved! I focus on creating luxury scents, hand pouring each candle using small batch production techniques. I also create scented wax melts using the same methods. Currently I am looking at ways to grow my business, including planning the launch of some subscription boxes and creating personalised wedding and party favours as a made to order service; so watch this space!

I’m also ensuring that my business is as green and eco-friendly as possible, and am always on the look out for new ways to improve. I use natural fragrances in my candles, cotton wicks, and recyclable containers. The candle bases are made of 100% soy wax which provides a clean burn candle that doesn’t release any nasty chemicals into the atmosphere. I have also removed all plastic packaging to ensure that it is now 100% recyclable. I can proudly say that my candles and wax melts are 100% vegan, cruelty free and chemical free. Moving forward, I hope to implement a recycling scheme where people can return their candle containers in exchange for a discount on their next purchase, so after some careful planning hopefully it will be in place in the not too distant future!

I wanted to create a blog to not only share my work and my business updates, but to maybe share some ideas too. My own inspiration can come from pretty much anywhere, and I just love the online crafting community. I love to read other blogs, and browse through Pinterest and Instagram, so hopefully through this blog I can share my own ideas, and maybe inspire others in the process.

Thank you for taking the time to look at my page, I hope you like it! Be sure to check out my social media pages for regular business updates and new designs.
